Shopware Development

Custom adjustments, plugins and ongoing support for Shopware 6 – based on real project experience.

The Starting Point

Shopware covers a lot as standard – but rarely everything: custom content, special processes or connections to external systems require clean extensions. Poorly implemented customisations then turn every Shopware update into a risk.

The Solution

I develop Shopware extensions the way the system intends: as clean plugins with Twig templates and clearly separated logic – update-safe instead of patched into the core. I have proven this in practice, among others, by building and operating the Shopware-based website of UNICON 22, an international major sporting event.

Typical Use Cases

  • Shopware as a content and event platform with custom content
  • Custom plugins and storefront adjustments (Twig, SCSS)
  • Connecting external systems, e.g. newsletter services such as listmonk
  • Ongoing support, updates and performance care for existing shops

Approach

  1. Analyse requirements and existing shop structure
  2. Design the solution as an update-safe plugin or clean extension
  3. Implementation and testing in a staging environment
  4. Deployment and functional check in the live system
  5. Ongoing support and updates as needed

Who It Is For – and What You Contribute

For operators of existing Shopware 6 installations and organisations that want to use Shopware as a shop or content platform. You define requirements and priorities; I implement them in an update-safe way.

An Honest Assessment

Shopware is not always the right answer: for simple websites without shop features a leaner system is often more sensible. Whether Shopware fits your project is something I clarify with you before the project – not after.

Technologies Used

  • Shopware 6
  • PHP / Symfony
  • Twig
  • SCSS
  • REST APIs

Your Benefit

A Shopware system that exactly reflects your requirements and still remains update-safe – supported by someone who knows Shopware from real operations of a major event.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you also take over existing Shopware installations?

Yes, after a technical assessment. Especially with grown shops I first clarify which customisations exist and how update-safe the system is.

Does the shop remain update-safe with custom adjustments?

Yes – that is the core of my way of working. Customisations are built as plugins following Shopware conventions, not as interventions in the system core.

Is Shopware suitable even without classic online sales?

Yes. Shopware can also be used as a content and event platform – with registrations, multilingual content and editorial pages, as at UNICON 22.

Does this fit your project?

Describe your requirements – you will receive an honest assessment of whether and how I can help.
